| Australia's
greatest living legend of country music. John Williamson
is the bloke we all choose first to remind us of our identity
as Australians. More than any other bush balladeer in 100
years, he has come to articulate and define who we are. Along
the way, Australia's true blue balladeer has picked up a huge
swag of awards in his long career. |
This
energetic and talented performer is one of Australia's premier
country music stars, with a musical delivery that has shades
of Johnny Cash, and even a touch of Elvis there, with his
beautifully distinctive voice. Adam is a colourful and
engaging live performer with a passion for traditional country
music and humorous story telling, with his shows selling out
regularly. |
Beccy
Cole is recognised as one of the benchmarks in the Australian
country music industry. Beccy's talents as a singer,
songwriter and performer have taken her to the forefront of
Australian country music. This award-winning performer has a
dynamic personality, charisma, passion and a talent that has
her ranked as one of the most popular in the country. |
Australia's
Queen Of Country has had a remarkable career that’s not only
taken Gina to the top of the country music industry,
where she still reigns supreme, but continues to bring new
surprises and successes for this talented and vivacious woman.
Gina has also been one of the most in-demand performers in
Australia, with her tours always sell-out successes. |

 |
 |
| Sara
Storer is the most awarded female artist in Australian country
music history. Sara has worked as a schoolteacher, and lived
the dream, running a stock camp in Outback Queensland, and
working cattle out on the Northern Territory's Barkly
Tableland. Sara has gone on to cement her place as one of
Australia’s most important singer / songwriters. |
Three
great female country music singers and three great friends
combine to perform as the Songbirds of Country. Beccy
Cole, Gina Jeffreys and Sara Storer have each won acclaim and
accolades as solo artists, and whilst they still pursue their
own singing careers they also love to get together and perform
a show that isn't so much a country music concert but a true
blue girls' night out! |
Catherine
Britt was born and raised in Newcastle on Australia's eastern
coast, where she fell under the spell of country music while
still a young child. When she was 11 years old, Britt met
singer Bill Chambers before one of his Australian concerts,
asking him to sing Jimmie Rodgers' "T.B. Blues." Chambers
was stunned that such a youngster would even know the song (or
have heard of Rodgers), and ended up inviting her up to sing
it with him during the show. Britt clearly was a phenomenal
singing talent, and Chambers took her under his wing,
producing her In the Pines EP, which was released in 1999.
Britt was only 14 when a single from the project, "That
Don't Bother Me," which was co-written with Chambers'
daughter, Kasey Chambers, dented the country charts. |
Amber
Lawrence is an exciting talent on the rise in the country
music industry who is often described as the city girl with a
country heart. Amber
is a dynamic performer who is known for her ability to engage
audiences with enthusiasm, honesty and humour. Her stage
presence is one of her strongest assets. Audiences were wowed
with recent performances by Amber and her band at the 2005
Tamworth country music festival. Her musical career has taken
the young singer traveling throughout NSW, Queensland, New
Zealand, New Caledonia and as far a field as the USA. |

 |
 |
| Not
since the early sixties have such songs been penned -
sing-along lyrics, catchy riffs, raucous harmonies and
unforgettable melodies. The songs can soar with the
energy of a wild stallion or steal your heart away with their
raw honesty. The Rustlers excel in knowing how to get people
dancing, with a great blend of country and good old rock and
roll. |
Amber
Joy Poulton has performed as a singer for more than 10 years
and enjoyed every moment, something that is evident in her
passion for music. |
Honky
Tonk Angels is a cabaret musical about the life of Loretta
Lynn. Amber Joy
Poulton is a gifted singer and fine interpreter of the music
of Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline, Tammy Wynette and Dolly Parton. |
Australia's
number one Johnny Cash Show stars Rohan Powell as Johnny Cash
and Amber Joy Poulton as June Carter Cash. It all gets
into a higher gear with the Walk The Line Band cranking out an
authentic cabaret tribute to the music and myth of Johnny
Cash. |

Haynes reckons he¹s just an ordinary bloke who wants to make
people laugh and feel good. But this multi-talented character
is far from ordinary. Over the course of his working life,
he’s excelled at so many careers that even he’s lost
count. He’s been a serious and humorous songwriter,
performer, bush poet, author, comedian, raconteur, compere,
after-dinner speaker, recording artist, bush band member,
academic, sapphire dealer, nurse, roustabout and teacher -
usually several of them at the same time. |
From
the cream of Australian country, through to Garth Brooks,
Gretchen Wilson, Toby Keith and Brooks & Dunn - if
you love your contemporary country music, Mike's your guy!
Radio announcer, dj and mc, Mike's
passion for country music has taken him across Australia and
around the world. |
When
it comes to line dancing, Alison Johnstone is a step above the
rest. She has traveled the Globe, dancing, teaching, judging
and has extensive Cruise experience. Alison
has also hosted TV shows and been an award winning fitness
instructor. With numerous features and dances in the world's
largest line dancing magazine, Linedancer, Alison is known for
her clean moves and natural teaching skills. We are excited to
have her onboard and know that you will be too. You'll
be 'lining up' for more. |
Nev
McLachlan is our resident Square Dance Caller for the cruise.
He has been dancing and calling most of his life and is the
Director of the Sunshine Coast Square Dance Centre. Nev
also became resident Caller for the Reg Lindsay Show,
“Country Homestead”, which was broadcast nationally on
Channel 9 from 1977 until 1982. Bev McLachlan (our Clogging
Cuer) is the daughter of well known square dancing couple
Graham and Margaret Brandon. She has Cued for Clogging and
Round Dancing since 1982. Along with Clogging, Bev also
teaches intricacies of Rumba, Cha Cha, Two-Step, Waltz,
Foxtrot, Tango, Bolero, Paso Doble, and Jive. |
